March 27th 2011, I had an opportunity to check out the 2011 International Art Expo NYC. This annual event on the Hudson River brought together artists, curators, and collectors from across the globe. The ArtExpo was better than I could have imagined. This year brought artists from as far as Egypt and India, to as close as Pikesville, MD to Pier 94 in New York City. The works of art were phenominal. The show exhibited various mediums of canvas art, sculpture, photography, sowing/threading, metals, and glass art. The artists were friendly and eager to share knowledge and experience. Pieces were being purchased every two minutes it seemed. The organizers provided a well put together gallery style exhibition, that included great food, drinks, educational seminars, networking, and most importantly real sales opportunities. I encourage every inspiring artist to check are the International ArtExpo in 2012.
